Clear terms for submitting RFQs and working with Metal Fab Parts

1. Scope of Services
Metal Fab Parts provides an experienced RFQ sourcing and coordination service that connects customers with qualified U.S.-based metal fabrication shops.
- We do not manufacture parts
- We do not guarantee pricing, lead times, or supplier acceptance
- Quotes are provided by independent third-party shops
Our role is to review RFQs, identify appropriate suppliers, and facilitate communication.
2. RFQ Submissions
When submitting an RFQ, you agree that:
- All information provided is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge
- You have the right to share drawings, files, and specifications submitted
- You will clearly disclose any regulatory, compliance, or confidentiality requirements (e.g., ITAR)
Metal Fab Parts reserves the right to request clarification or additional information before proceeding.
3. No Obligation to Proceed
- Submitting an RFQ does not obligate you to place an order
- Receiving a quote does not obligate Metal Fab Parts or any supplier to accept work
- Metal Fab Parts may decline RFQs that are incomplete, impractical, or outside our sourcing capabilities
4. Confidentiality
RFQs are treated as confidential and shared intentionally with vetted suppliers only, in accordance with our:
Formal NDAs are available upon request and must be executed prior to sharing controlled data.
5. Pricing, Quotes & Orders
- Quotes are issued by third-party fabrication shops, not Metal Fab Parts
- Pricing, lead times, and terms are subject to change until formally accepted
- Any purchase orders or production agreements are made directly between you and the supplier, unless otherwise agreed in writing
Metal Fab Parts is not a party to manufacturing contracts unless explicitly stated.
6. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of all intellectual property submitted as part of an RFQ.
By submitting an RFQ, you grant Metal Fab Parts a limited right to:
- Review your materials
- Share them solely for quoting and sourcing purposes
No ownership or license transfer occurs beyond this limited use.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Metal Fab Parts is not liable for manufacturing defects, delays, pricing changes, or supplier performance
- Our total liability arising from use of the site or services shall not exceed the amount paid to Metal Fab Parts, if any, for the applicable RFQ
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
Services are provided “as-is” and “as available.” Metal Fab Parts makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding:
- Supplier performance
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Quote accuracy beyond reasonable diligence
9. Termination of Use
Metal Fab Parts may suspend or terminate access to services if:
- These Terms are violated
- Information is misrepresented
- Use presents legal, regulatory, or security risk
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
